Bring back the shapely contours of your rear end with a buttock lift in Ormond Beach. Restore a toned look to the buttocks. Additionally, it can be performed with other body-contouring surgeries to give you a well-balanced body shape.
What Is a Buttock Lift?
Aging, weight loss, and other factors can contribute to an unflattering buttock shape. A buttock lift also referred to as a gluteal lift, is a surgical procedure that aims to remove excess skin and fat from your upper buttocks to improve their appearance. It does not change the elasticity of your skin, though it does tighten the appearance of the skin for better shape and firmness.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Buttock Lift?
If you went through weight fluctuations or weight loss, you might be a good candidate for a buttock lift. Overstretched skin has a tendency to sag over time. The buttock lift removes this sagging skin on your buttocks or thighs, which exercise typically cannot do.
If you are close to your ideal weight with no significant weight loss expected, then you can undergo this surgical procedure.
If you are a smoker, you may not be able to go through a buttock lift right away. Smoking impairs wound healing. It is also important that you are in overall good health without chronic underlying conditions.

The Procedure in Ormond Beach
On the day of surgery, anesthesia will be administered. Then, Dr. Lentz will make an incision on the top of the buttocks and on the hips. The excess skin will be removed, then the remaining tissue will be pulled tight to eliminate sagging.
In some cases, liposuction may be performed to achieve a better shape. Incisions will be closed with layers of sutures to make sure that the skin remains taut.

Following your surgery, you will be recommended to wear compression garments to reduce swelling. You may be prescribed pain relievers to help with the discomfort once the anesthesia wears off. Bruising is normal and takes up to several weeks to disappear. Additional aftercare instructions will be provided before you leave the clinic.
You may need some help at home for several weeks following your surgical procedure. In the first two weeks, you can engage in limited motion but must avoid strenuous activities. It may take up to three weeks before you can fully go back to your normal routine and several months before you are fully recovered.
