PRP has become very popular due to the celebrity influence; it was introduced as “The Vampire Facial”. This treatment starts with a medical professional withdrawing blood and then spinning it in a centrifuge. Once spun in the centrifuge the plasma is separated from the blood and prepped for the treatment. Plasma is concentrated with growth factors, platelets and collagen components that can either be injected to the skin or combined with microneedling. Once the PRP has been applied, you will experience an overall refreshed subtle appearance, with reduction or elimination of wrinkles and fine lines. PRP is also great for hair restoration, sexual health, joints, scarring and dark circles under eyes.
Communication is the most critical aspect of patient care. Results must match expectations. Without excellent communication, expectations cannot be matched. I spend a lot of time with my patients trying to determine what is the best operation for personal success and achievement of patient goals.
