RhinoplastyWomen with excessively large breasts often consider breast reduction. Before making the final decision to go forward, it is important to learn as much as possible about breast reduction. Girding yourself with information will help you make the most of the experience.

There are five general steps to breast reconstruction. On the day of the procedure, you will first be given anesthesia to ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure. Then, depending on what was discussed during your consultation, incisions are made around the nipple-areola complex. You may have decided to include liposuction with the procedure for additional contouring. During the third step, excess tissue is removed and the nipple, which is still connected via nerves and blood vessels, is repositioned. Then, incisions are closed with sutures. The results are immediately visible, but it may take a complete recovery before your final results are obvious.

Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Ashley K. Lentz, so that you may discuss what options are best for you.
