What to Expect
Dr. Lentz performs breast augmentation as an outpatient surgery in an AAAASF-certified operating room. He prefers to use textured silicone gel implants for a very natural look, and operates with the patient under general anesthesia, comfortably asleep throughout the surgery.
For the surgery, Dr. Lentz creates either a periareolar (around the perimeter of the nipple) or transaxillary (armpit) incision and then positions the implants. He takes special precautions to ensure successful results by irrigating the area with an antibiotic solution before placing the implants, and by making the incisions so that your scars will be concealed along natural lines or creases.
After surgery, you can expect to return to light activities within 7 to 10 days and resume your normal routine, including exercise, within about 2 weeks.
